How many countries do you know of have citizens so proud of their homeland that they donate money to promote tourism? Greece has some of the most patriotic and engaged citizens in the world and some have taken action to fill the tourism promotion void left by austerity measures necessary during the current economic climate.
Funds were raised through crowdfunding site Loudsauce to rent a billboard in London’s Piccadilly Circus for two weeks that encourages people to holiday in Greece.
