In case you haven’t heard, Google recently launched a new hotel finder service. Though it’s still in its pilot phase and only available for select cities, travelers are starting to get the chance to give it a spin.
Dennis Schaal at USA Today sums things up in his review. The verdict? The service definitely has features that outshine competitors, particularly the intuitive way in which you can select specific areas for search on the map. However, there are still some kinks to be worked out. Schaal points out that many hotel rates are missing, and more surprisingly you still can’t search for a hotel by name, but rather have to find it by its location.
It will certainly be worth watching, since travel seems to be the one area that Bing has established a strong foothold in search. We’ll see how long that lasts now.
