Thrill seekers have a new bucketlistable attraction on their hands and may soon be packing their bags for Wales. Snowdonia National Park now features the longest zipline in the northern hemisphere. The Big Zipper was constructed on the site of Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda and is over a mile long with top speeds expected to be 80 mph. Zip World Snowdownia also features a smaller zipline called, predictably, The Little Zipper. The Zip World experience includes a tour of the quarry conducted in military vehicles that explains the history of the site. The Big Zipper is expected to open on March 29th.
