Never underestimate the power of a disgruntled employee, and there are few things as contentious among staffers as dress code. Frustrated by a policy that prohibits drivers and conductors from wearing shorts on the job, male train drivers on the Roslagsbanan line in Sweden are sporting skirts in protest.

Management cannot prevent workers from wearing women’s clothing, and so employees are working to rule by cross-dressing. One thing that is within management’s power to change is the dress code. Given the amount of attention the skirt-wearing has garnered, it wouldn’t be terribly surprising if the policy is changed in short order.
