Felix Baumgartner Voted “Adventurer of the Year” by Nat Geo

Feliz Baumgartner free fell from 24.2 miles above Earth last fall, and now he’s been voted Adventurer of the Year according to nearly 55,000 votes from a list of ten options named by National Geographic.

In an interview with Mary Anne Potts, Felix talks about his history with jumping from a variety of heights in a number of manners. Skydiving, base jumping and a capsule from almost-space:

Throughout my life I’ve taken on progressively more demanding adventures, and I’ve learned from each one. That progression has enabled me to experience some incredible moments in a safe way. I can’t imagine life without adventurous goals. ~Baumgartner
