European low-cost airline EasyJet has shrunk its limit for cabin baggage by 37% effective today. The move to limit the size of carry-on luggage is intended to allow more people to have the option of flying with only carry-on luggage, as the carrier clued in that there simply isn’t room for everyone to bring a larger bag on board many of their aircraft. Go figure.
The EasyJet carry-on limit has been reduced to a maximum dimensions of 50cm by 40 cm by 20 cm effective today. The airline has said that passengers whose bags comply with the old limit will not be charged extra, but will be required to check their luggage instead of bringing it into the cabin.
