A loose crocodile in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg prompted a special police operation to track down and contain the deadly reptile. Though officials originally suspected that the croc had escaped from a local circus, their reptiles were inventoried and none found to be missing. While it remains a mystery how or where the creature got loose, the main focus is on locating and capturing it. It was originally spotted on land, but the crocodile escaped into the river when police initially gave chase on foot.
No mention has been made yet of whether President Putin has been called in to wrestle with it.
