If your dream is to soar above the ancient landscapes of Egypt in a hot air balloon, you will be happy to know that it is once again possible to do so in Luxor. The resumption of balloon flights for sightseers at Luxor has been authorized by Egypt’s civil aviation authorities following the introduction of new safety measures.
Flights had been halted since February when 19 people were killed when a balloon caught fire and crashed. The region’s governor did the honor of taking the first flight after the ban was lifted.
