New York’s newest and most controversial performance is due sometime over the next few weeks, when 36-year-old artist Marni Kotak – whose previous works include a re-enactment of losing her virginity in a blue Plymouth – delivers her first child in front of a live audience at a Brooklyn gallery
According to the artist:
“This is all part of my approach to life and art, and my goal of creating authentic interactions, rather than the Facebook kind of friend that you’ve actually never met,” says Kotak.
I sympathize with the sentiment, but there’s gotta be a middle ground of interaction between facebook messages and watching someone give birth. For example: talking.
