A drunk British man had a lucky escape after he fell asleep wedged between two carriages of a 190 mph express train.
He was only rescued when passengers at the station in Munich, Germany, spotted him five minutes before the train pulled out and alerted police.
The British reveller had passed out after tucking himself into the narrow gap when he couldn’t remember how to get to his hotel after a day’s drinking at the city’s Oktoberfest beer festival.
“If he hadn’t been noticed he would certainly have fallen onto the track once the train got moving and would be dead by now,” said one officer.
Tip: when looking for a place to pass out while drunk, best to avoid trains. Or train tracks. Really, best to avoid large transport devices in general since they, you know, end up moving.
