In the former Communist ruled East Germany, naturists were a pampered lot. Nudism was not just popular, but authorized under the Commies. Now, a travel company aims to bring back those days of naked glory by offering special nude flights.
Vagabondish is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn a small affiliate commission. Read our disclosure.
The nudists who in the former Communist bloc country were known as Ossis, will be able to book seats on the first flights – a daytrip between Erfurt and the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea which is known for its gorgeous white sand beaches.
Passengers will be restricted to 50, and will be allowed to disrobe once they are on the one hour long flight. They have to enter the plane fully clothed however.
The pilots and air cabin crew won’t be joining in the party. They will remain fully clothed.
