I wonder if you can get a group discount on tuition to charm school because it seems as though everyone involved in this incident was absent the day they were handing out tact and courtesy.
On a June 20th WestJet flight from Toronto to Edmonton Lexi Sanfino paraded topless down the aisle after she didn’t take kindly to flight attendants asking for beauty tips and pointing out that she used to be a guy. Sanfino and her travel companion Nina Arsenault were arrested upon arrival in Edmonton. According to the pair, while they were detained, the police seemed to enjoy giving them a hard time about their transgendered status, asking deeply personal questions unrelated to their arrest and frequently threatening to put them in the male section of the jail because their identification listed them as Male. Arsenault then argued that if the police wanted to treat them as male then they might as well release them, since it’s not illegal for men to go shirtless.
Overall, not a shining moment in either air travel or law enforcement. Let’s hope there’s a lesson in there somewhere.
