Technology may not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think about art museums, but many of them are adopting high-tech approaches to enhance the visitor’s experience.
The Cleveland Art Museum has installed the largest multi-touch screen in the United States in an effort to improve the experience of people visiting the gallery. The 40-foot-wide screen provides a number of new ways to navigate the museum’s massive collection of artworks, and creates individualized guides that blow the conventional audioguide out of the water.
