Massive Rubber Ducky Turns Up in Sydney Harbour

An enormous rubber duck was seen floating in Sydney Harbour — a sight which most seem to find amusing and a source of nostalgia. Those of us who have watched Ghostbusters and seen the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man lay waste to New York City reserve a healthy measure of suspicion for such mammoth, ostensibly benign characters.

This 15-meter-tall duck, created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, is part of Sydney Festival 2013 which begins on the weekend.
