There’s a new high-speed train in China, and it travels on a freshly inaugurated rail line that stretches all the way from Beijing to Guangzhou. At 1,428 miles long, it is now the longest high-speed rail line in the world.
The journey used to take close to 24 hours to travel by train, but travel time has been reduced to under 8 hours with the advent of the new bullet train that barrels through the countryside at an average speed of 186mph.
