It might sound like the perfect April Fool’s joke, but a hotel with the “likeness” of Alcatraz opened in London last week. The hotel opened in time for the British debut of the new TV show “Alcatraz”.
Potential “prisoners” were given uniforms, had their mugshots taken, and were expected to carry on housekeeping tasks throughout their stay. To make the experience even more lifelike, a former Correction Officer from the real Alcatraz was brought in to oversee the operations.
